Little J Soft Play is a family run business located between York and Selby, North Yorkshire. At Little J Soft Play, we specialise in providing high-quality, safe, and fun soft play equipment for events of all kinds. From children’s birthday parties to weddings and christenings, we bring the joy of soft play to any occasion. Our mission is to create a stress-free experience for parents while ensuring the little ones have a blast!

How do I book?

Just send us a message with your event date, location, and what you’re looking for, and we’ll get back to you with availability and a quote.
Which areas do you cover?

We’re located on the outskirts of York, near Selby, and typically cover areas within a 15-mile radius. Delivery and collection fees vary depending on your location. We're happy to travel further, so feel free to message us with your address for a quote.
How long is the hire for?

The soft play can be hired for the duration of your event. When booking, please let us know the start and finish times of your event so we can arrange setup and collection accordingly. Full-day and overnight hire options are also available for an additional fee.
Can the soft play be personalised?

Absolutely! Our ball pits can be fully personalised—just send us a message with your theme and ideas, and we’ll create a custom design for you. Additional charges will apply.
What age is the soft play suitable for?

Our soft play packages are suitable for 4 years and under.
Is the equipment safe?

Absolutely! All our equipment is regularly cleaned and checked for safety to meet industry standards.
Can I hire the soft play for outdoor events?

Yes, outdoor bookings are possible, but only between May and September, and they're always weather dependent. We do have some specific guidelines for outdoor setups, so please let us know when booking if your event will be held outside, and we’ll share all the details with you. We’ll always do our best to accommodate outdoor spaces, but a plan B to move indoors should always be in place.
What happens if the soft play is damaged?

In the unfortunate event that any of our equipment is damaged, we’ll need to retain your £50 damage deposit. If the cost of the damage goes beyond that, you’ll be invoiced for the full replacement cost of the damaged items. We want everyone to have a great time using the soft play, but as a small business, we do need to cover the cost of any damages.
Can I book last minute?

We’ll always try to fit you in if we can! That said, to guarantee your date and setup, we recommend booking as early as possible — especially during weekends and peak months.
How much space do I need?

That depends on the package you choose! We’ll let you know the space requirements when you book, and we're happy to help you figure out if it’ll fit in your venue or garden.
Do you have insurance?

Yes, we’re fully insured for all our hires. If you’d like to see a copy of our insurance certificate, just let us know!
